Nashville is full of life and fun things to do! This is just a taste of the most iconic tourist spots and some of our personal favorites.
You can't be a tourist in Nashville without visiting our vibrant downtown area. Walk through Broadway and check out the riverfront, the honky tonk bars, and the live music all around you. Take a stroll on the Pedestrian Bridge over the river for a gorgeous view of the city!
Another must-see neighborhood if you're visiting Nashville! It's totally walkable with lots of places to eat and shop. Check out Sevier Park for a nice place to picnic! Some other local favorites: Frothy Monkey Coffeehouse & Cafe, Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, Epice Lebanese Bistro, Mafiaoza's Pizza. The iconic "I Believe in Nashville" mural is located here, as well as the flagship store of Nashville native Reese Witherspoon's clothing line, Draper James.
Vanderbilt is located by Music Row in the heart of the city, easily walkable from the Virgin Hotel. With its multitude of trees, the campus is absolutely stunning in the fall. Take a walk through the beautiful foliage to see one of Nashville's most iconic places - and the bride's alma mater!
A Nashville classic. Even if you're not a huge fan of country music, you will love this museum if you love music at all! Take a journey through the history of country music from its roots to present day. Coolest thing in there - one of Elvis's old cars, totally decked out to match his iconically unique taste!
Come check out food, crafts, and anything else you can think of from local farmers and artisans outside, and then grab a bite to eat from the restaurants inside! There is usually at least one form of live music, often multiple. Take a walk around the Bicentennial Mall right next to the farmers market for a beautiful green space and a stunning view of the Tennessee Capitol Building.
This gorgeous park has some of our favorite trails in Nashville. There are both paved walking paths and unpaved hiking trails. Go to the top of the steps at the end of Belle Meade Boulevard for a gorgeous view!
Our other favorite place to hike in the Nashville area! The hiking trails are closed to dogs and runners because the park is a protected wildlife area, but the paved trails are open to all. There are some truly breathtaking lake views here in the fall, and you are likely to spot some deer and other local wildlife.
A local gem, also known as Love Circle - the best place to see a sunset or sunrise in Nashville. Climb a small hill for a 360 view of the city, including the gorgeous skyline!
